Skateboarding memorial

John Spooner, Michelle Oleary and I skated Memorial skatepark the day after the skate event in May. It was an overcast shitty day, but a lot of fun. I landed a new trick I haven't tried before and an old one I haven't been able to do in a while. I got to watch Spooner blast airs off of all the big lips in the park. Michelle almost got a padless backside grind in the keyhole. She had it but the helmet kept getting the way. She's too gnarly for pads.

We went to Washington skatepark next and were all humbled by the place. The locals rule and they fucking know it.

Afterwards we had a few beers at Spooner's and watched skate videos and Michelle was bouncing off the walls. Here is the link to all the images http://zachpetschek.com/skate_2

HesH SesH 2

We did it again. We had another hesh sesh at Dallas park this last weekend. If you made it thank you, if you didn't you missed out. We had twice the people this time and no one felt left out. There was constantly things happening as the day passed. At one point I had a poacher to deal with. There was a random guy walking around the perimeter taking photos of everyone skating. I still don't know who this guy was. But I know i got some of the best photos I have ever gotten on that day. To everyone thank you. It was fun. In two months you can expect to see us again.

More Skateboarding

Cinco de Mayo is a favorite american holiday. Most people go out and buy some corona and have an outdoor party somewhere. Skateboarders view it as a day to be outside too. However we celebrate in a different way. Although a few cold ones are not out of the question!

Jamul Kiln

Lucas found out about this 100 year old kiln in the middle of Jamul. From 1889-1892 a company ored limestone out of the hills in limestone, used rail cars to hall it to the kiln, then heated it so they could make cement out of it. they went out of business and disassembled the wooden structure that surrounded it. However they left the 3 story high kiln still standing in the middle of Jamul. These are some pictures of our adventure.

This is a view inside the of the Jamul Kiln chimney looking up. A nice green Jamul gnome took the photo of us.
